So, as we all know, Scar destroyed his Lion Guard using the Roar of the Elders. However, he used his power for evil, which obviously made his ancestors angry, and Scar completely lost his power. That's how I imagine it happening.

This scenario does, however, beg one question: if it was well-known that Scar murdered his Guard and lost the Roar because of that, why would Mufasa and Sarabi let him roam free, especially around Simba?
